Children at this age are busy exploring their environment. This means they can now walk, climb, and run – a time to introduce and guide them to self-help & independence in areas such as eating, dressing and toileting. It is also an important time for learning about dangers and safe limits.
At this stage their language develops rapidly. They start putting sentences together and will build skills and confidence through games, songs, movement, and art, as by encouraging child-directed play, we ensure that your child develops at their own pace.
They are also gaining a better understanding of group play and start joining into conversations with their friends. Concept of before and after, past and present is taught. Communication is big and they communicate their thoughts while they begin to exert their independence.
Pre-School – Programme Outline
- Daily small-group circle time to promote skill development
- Playtime with nurture to encourage sharing, cooperating and taking turns with friends
- Activities that support learning concepts for this age group, such as past/present before/after
- Encouragement and support that lead to confidence and self-esteem
- Age Group: 2 years - 3 years
- Class Ratio: 1:6 children
- Attendance: 2,3 or 5 days / week
- Timings: 7:30/8am to 12:30pm / 2pm / 6pm
- Enrichment: Arabic, French, Cooking, Ball skills, Kinder Tots, Outdoor, Water play
